Germany makes APS certificate mandatory for students applying from India

Germany has made it mandatory for Indian students to get their academic 

records assessed by the Academic Evaluation Centre (APS) and obtain 

authenticity certificates before applying for student visas.

From November 1st, APS certificates will be a mandatory part of the documents 

to be submitted with your visa application, the German Missions in India said. 

The certification will be provided to the students after their academic records 

are assessed by Germany’s academic evaluation. Along with a post-study 18 

month permit for students to stay back and look for a job, German universities 

also have strong industry linkages that benefit students looking for jobs after 

their courses as well as internship opportunities.
